What are the health risks?

The bacteria Listeria monocytogenes can cause an infection called listeriosis. It resists the cold of the refrigerator well and can multiply in foods already ready to eat, like these pancakes. The first possible signs are a fever, sometimes accompanied by headache and body aches, as well as possible digestive problems. The time for symptoms to appear can be up to eight weeks after consumption.

Listeriosis can have serious forms in certain fragile people: pregnant women, elderly or immunocompromised people. Neurological complications, or even serious damage to the fetus, are possible. Anyone who has eaten these pancakes and presents with fever, headache or body aches should consult their doctor quickly, specifying the consumption of this recalled lot.

What should the consumer do?

The pancakes from this batch should no longer be consumed. You must return them to the store, at Auchan, E.Leclerc, Intermarché or Carrefour, to obtain a refund or a
exchange. Otherwise, the product must be destroyed. For any questions, the Dessaint Crêpes consumer service can be reached at 0971056050.
