Recall of finger foods at U and Qualité Traiteur: a risk of Listeria detected throughout France

Two references of U and Qualité Traiteur bites are the subject of a recall in France due to Listeria risk. Dates, batches and instructions worry consumers.

Two health recalls concerning queen’s bites sold in supermarkets were announced on July 28, 2026 on the official RappelConso website. The products in question, refrigerated prepared meals distributed throughout France, are suspected of containing the bacteria
Listeria monocytogenesresponsible for listeriosis.

These recalls target both the bites to the queen of the brand
usold in U Stores, and those of the brand Catering Qualitypresent in other supermarkets. The two references come from the same agri-food establishment, identified by the health mark FR 22.389.003 CEwhich explains why several brands are affected at the same time.

Which bite-sized products at La Reine U and Qualité Traiteur are recalled?

For the U brand, the sheet published by the U Enseigne U Cooperative mentions the products Bouchée à la reine U x2 300g and Bouchée à la reine U 150g. GTIN codes 3256229545403 and 2621872000004 are affected, for batches 620101 and 620201, with expiration dates set for August 2 and 3, 2026.

These dishes were sold throughout France from July 21 to 24, 2026 in Magasins U, in the fresh section. The recall is indicated as “Voluntary (without prefectural order)”. The RappelConso sheet asks you to “No longer consume” these bites, to “Return the product to the point of sale”, to “Contact consumer service” on 09 69 36 69 36, in exchange for a refund.

Reminder of bites to the queen and Listeria: health risks

The second recall concerns a tray x2 of Bouchée à la reine FEX2 Catering Quality, manufactured by STB Stalaven – Euralis and sold throughout France in various supermarkets from July 23 to 25, 2026. The GTIN concerned is 3181580278014, for lot 620201 with expiry date on August 3, 2026, the sheet mentioning a “Detection of Listeria monocytogenes” and asking to “Stop consuming” and “Destroy the product”.

In its two sheets, RappelConso reminds that listeriosis can be serious and gives identical instructions. The text specifies: “People who have consumed the “products” mentioned above and who present with fever, isolated or accompanied by headache, and body aches, are invited to consult their treating physician and report this consumption. Serious forms with neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women can also sometimes occur. Pregnant women as well as immunocompromised people and the elderly must be particularly attentive to these symptoms. Listeriosis is a disease which can be serious and has an incubation period of up to eight weeks.”

What if you bought these bites from the queen?

Recalls advise you to remove these products from the refrigerator immediately. For the Queen U bites, you must return them to the store for a refund, after possible contact with the consumer service on 09 69 36 69 36. For the Catering Quality tray, the form requests that the product be destroyed; a dedicated number, 06 33 75 79 46, is made available and a refund is provided.
