To establish its ranking of the best mosquito repellents for temperate regions, the consumer association tested 15 repellents on tiger and common mosquitoes with the “arm in the cage” protocol, taking into account performance, compliance with the displayed effectiveness period and the toxicity of the active substance to give a rating to the products.
The magazine emphasizes that repellent products contain different active substances, the most recognized of which are DEET, icaridin and IR3535.
