The recall is due to the detection of Campylobacter spp.a bacteria responsible for
campylobacteriosis. After ingestion of a contaminated product, symptoms generally appear between 2 and 5 days: diarrhea sometimes bloody, abdominal pain, nausea, fever. Most patients recover in less than a week, but severe forms exist.
Young children, the elderly and immunocompromised individuals are at increased risk of complications. Even if cooking thoroughly beyond 65°C destroys this bacteria, the authorities recommend not consuming the nuggets affected by the recall, even if they were intended to be well cooked.
What should the consumer do?
The holders of these Chicken nugget 1kg Unbranded must stop all consumption, even if they appear normal or smell usual. The product can be returned to the store ALDI purchase, where a
refund will be offered without obligation to present the receipt.
If digestive disorders appear in the days following the consumption of these nuggets (diarrhea, fever, abdominal cramps), it is advisable to consult a doctor quickly, mentioning the possible exposure to
