Recall of minced chicken fillets from Le Gaulois, Corico and Les Prêts à Cuisiner
Published on September 18, 2026 on the RappelConso website, this voluntary recall concerns poultry products produced from the same establishment (health mark FR 71 158 001 CE). The trays of minced chicken filletsthighs or burgers were put on shelves between September 8 and 14, 2026, in large and medium-sized supermarkets as well as in retail stores, throughout the country.

What are the health risks?
The recall is motivated by a suspicion of contamination by
Salmonella Typhimuriumthe bacteria responsible for salmonellosis. This infection generally manifests itself between 6 and 72 hours after ingestion with diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, fever and headache. The most severe forms mainly affect young children, the elderly, pregnant women and immunocompromised people. Cooking thoroughly to more than 65°C destroys the bacteria, but the authorities ask that you no longer consume the targeted products.
What should the consumer do?
Holders of affected trays must immediately stop all consumptioneven if the appearance and smell seem normal. Products can be destroyed or returned to the store to obtain a
refund. For the brand The Gaulan information number is available: 02 43 62 64 15 (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.).
If suggestive symptoms appear within 7 days after consumption of one of the recalled batches, rapid consultation with the treating physician is recommended, noting the reference consumed. In the absence of symptoms within this period, no specific action is generally required, but strict compliance with recall instructions remains essential to limit the risks.
