Salmonella spp.the bacteria that causes salmonellosis. This infection causes sudden digestive problems: diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, sometimes accompanied by fever and headache, within 6 to 72 hours after ingestion. The most severe forms mainly affect young children, pregnant women, the elderly or immunocompromised people.
In the event of symptoms after consumption of the targeted product, a rapid consultation with the treating physician is recommended, reporting the consumption. In the absence of clinical signs within seven days, no specific monitoring is generally necessary.
What should the consumer do?
