30% of employees admit to having already done it at the office... Masturbation, the new relaxation break?
Coffee break, cigarette break… and pleasure break. According to a survey of 10,000 people carried out by the sex-positive community JOYclub, a significant proportion of men and women admit to allowing themselves moments of solitary pleasure at the office or in public spaces. Amazing figures!

On the occasion of World Orgasm Day, experts investigated the common practices of the French. Result ? The latter seem particularly fond of… masturbation in the office.

Sex outside, an (almost) banal practice?

On the occasion of World Orgasm Day, which will take place on December 21, JOYclubthe first sex-positive community in Europe, reveals the results of its survey. And the numbers are astonishing to say the least! In fact, almost 70% of the individuals questioned said they had already masturbated in public spaces – thus revealing a certain trivialization of small external pleasures.

Their favorite spots? Forests and beaches come first (42.5%), closely followed by cars (38.2%). Some respondents even confided, in the free comments, to having a predilection for… the cellar. A choice as discreet as it is unexpected!“, report the experts.

Far from being taboo, solitary pleasure now seems to be taking over unexpected places…

Take charge between two meetings

Another even more surprising observation revealed by the site’s experts: sex in the office seems to have become democratized.

Indeed, according to the study, nearly a third of the men surveyed (33.7%) have already left their keyboard to enjoy a moment of personal pleasure.

As for women, a quarter (25.9%) have also given in to this temptation in the office. “Rest assured: these intimate moments generally take place in the toilets or changing rooms, and not at the workstation. Enough to preserve the productive atmosphere… and discretion”, specifies the press release.

“Between two stressful meetings, a little moment of pleasure can work miracles! The endorphins released during masturbation are real allies against stress. But the secret is not to fall into the trap of ‘fast-pleasure’. Take your time, savor, listen to your body. This is where the magic really happens“, admits Eva JOY, community manager within the dating site.

Digitalization of solitary pleasure: the new trigger?

The digital age is also revolutionizing intimate life. Thus, nearly 15.2% of the women surveyed have already tested a connected sex toy controlled via an application.

And this is only the beginning: 45% of men say they are very interested in the idea of contributing to their partner’s pleasure from a distance thanks to these remote-controlled toys.

Another trend also seems to emerge among couples: “Remote-Sex“, an advanced version of sexting. Lovers first exchange intimate messages, then masturbate simultaneously using connected sex toys, remotely.

Finally, personal pleasure is not prohibited in the marital bed, far from it since 67.1% of women and 59.7% of men have already masturbated discreetly next to their sleeping partner.

Far from being confined to the private sphere, solitary pleasure now seems to be entering everyday life, driven by the dedramatization of the subject and new technologies. A trend revealing a more uninhibited relationship with the body and desire, even if it continues to question the boundaries between privacy, public space and professional life.
