5 outdoor sports to lose weight effectively this summer
Want to enjoy the good weather to slim effectively? These five outdoor sports are also formidable for the silhouette that is pleasant to practice. And as a bonus, they are good for morale. To adopt now!

When the mercury climbs and the sky remains blue, it is often the perfect excuse to give any physical activity to tomorrow. And yet summer is the ideal moment to take care of yourself. Some outdoor sports offer a double benefit: they do good to your mind … and in your size. And according to the recommendations of the American magazine Eat thisfive disciplines clearly stand out for those who want to get rid of a few pounds. Some use the whole body, others bet on endurance or explosive force. But all of them have one thing in common: they make it useful.

Swimming

Perfect when the sun knocks, the outdoor swimming is a complete training that requests the whole body. Arms, legs, back, abs … No muscle is spared. Domenic Angelino, personal coach, says: “Swimming is an activity that burns a lot of calories, especially when the weather is nice. It has many advantages compared to running, but also makes the upper and lower body work work“.

But for it to be really effective, it is better to avoid leisure swimming. Ideal: alternate styles (crawl, breaststroke, back) and swim in intervals of two minutes, with a minute of rest between each series. A 30 -minute session in these conditions becomes a real fat burner.

The running

Simple, economical and formidably effective, running remains one of the fastest ways to burn calories. A good pair of sneakers, a clear path, and off we go. Angelino explains: “Running is a great way to burn a large number of calories in a relatively short period of time. It is also easy to adjust the intensity of your race as you improve“.

The right pace? A 30 -minute session with a moderate pace, where you can still speak while running. The progressive intensity makes it possible to maintain a constant effort without exploding in flight. Perfect for those who like to empty their heads solo or run in two, cool.

Climbing

Are you looking for a sport as mental as they are physical? Outdoor climbing is your ally. Provided you have suitable equipment and never climb alone, this activity mobilizes the arms, legs, sheathing, while requiring concentration and composure. For Angelino, it is one of the best ways to refine without being bored.

A two -hour session allows you to burn a large number of calories, while enjoying the landscape. This sport requires anticipation, coordination, and a good dose of calm. Ideally to practice in small groups, in a secure area where your phone captures, and always with a first aid kit at hand.

The sled push

No need for snow to use a sleigh! The sled push is also practiced on equipped urban routes. It is a formidable exercise to work the thighs, the glutes, the arms … and the breath. Angelino describes it as follows: “This leads to a great muscle activity, which translates directly into greater combustion of calories“.

The recommended format? Four to six 30 seconds of thrusts, with a large step for better efficiency. This cardio mixed movement and muscle strengthening. Once launched, you will understand why some love it … and others fear it.

Tire reversal

Popular among CrossFit followers, the tire turning (of tractor, please) is as rustic as it is effective. It strengthens muscle power while soliciting cardio. Angelino warns: “Increasing muscle power early in life can help protect you a little against the risk of falling as you get older“.

To avoid injury, the coach recommends thinking about this exercise as a squat with load, not as a simple uprising. Adapt the tire size to your strength, and aim at three to five series from 15 to 20 repetitions. You will come out soaked … but boosted.
