The raclette season has barely begun when several references of raclette cheeses are already the subject of a nationwide recall. Three different brands are affected by a health alert for risk of contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, according to the sheets published on the government website Rappel Conso. What are the health risks?

Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria responsible for listeriosis, an infection that can have severe consequences. After ingesting a contaminated product, symptoms can appear up to eight weeks later: fever, headache, body aches or digestive problems.

Pregnant women, the elderly or immunocompromised people are the most vulnerable to this infection, which can cause neurological complications or even serious fetal damage. Anyone experiencing these symptoms after consuming the recalled products should promptly consult their doctor and report consumption of the cheese.

How to get reimbursed?

Consumers are invited not to consume these products and to return them to the point of sale for a full refund. The three brands concerned make their customer service available to answer questions:

  • Aldi: 09 77 40 40 44 (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • Auchan: consumer service available in store or on the Auchan.fr website
  • Grand Frais: assistance via in-store customer service

The recall procedure will end between November 15 and 24, 2025, depending on the brand.
