On Tiktok, certain food supplements are all the rage, praised for their health effects. However, an American study points to six natural products which, in excess, can damage the liver.

They promise energy, well-being or slimming, and are displayed in a loop on social networks. But behind viral videos, experts alert their potential dangers. According to a study by the University of Michigan and relayed by the media Healthlinesix very popular food supplements on Tiktok would be linked to sometimes serious liver damage.

Green tea extract

Praised for its antioxidant properties, green tea extract is supposed to reduce inflammation and help burn fat. But in the form of concentrated capsules, it can become harmful.
