Each first name was evaluated according to a scientific methodology which integrates acoustic and emotional criteria. Result: Zayn is at the top of the ranking of the most pleasant first names to listen to.
Throughout this study, it was Zayn’s musicality that particularly captivated researchers. Its fluid sounds and simple structure contribute to an impression of softness and elegance. But beyond these linguistic aspects, this first name also carries a completely charming meaning.
A name with many facets and on the rise
Of Arabic origin, Zayn means “beautiful”. A spelling variant, Zaïn, is also recognized. This first name has a timeless dimension that combines authenticity and modernity, and it gains popularity every year. In France, around 4,700 people already have this first name, according to L’Officiel des Prénoms 2025, and its progression is spectacular: Zayn is now in the top 100 of the most given first names and should continue to climb in the years to come.
