Slices of cheddar ready for hamburgers, kept cool in the fridge, are found at the heart of a
recall Pasture cheddar hamburger slices 340 g. A specific batch of this burger cheese sold at Intermarché is removed from the shelves because plastic threads may have slipped into the slices.
This recall is voluntary, without a prefectural order, and only concerns a clearly identified sachet of the Pâturages brand. The risk mentioned is an “ingestion risk” linked to the presence of a plastic foreign body, with the possibility of injury or adverse effects. A simple look at the packaging allows you to know if your package is concerned.

Plastic wire in burger cheese: why this recall was decided
The reason announced is the presence of “flexible plastic wire from cutting the slicer unit packaging”. In other words, fine plastic pieces from cutting the lids could have found their way into the cheese. The risk is classified as inert foreign bodies such as glass, metal or plastic, with an “ingestion risk” mentioned.
As a precaution, it is stated that this product may cause “injury/adverse effects following ingestion.” The instructions are clear: no longer consume these slices if they belong to the targeted batch and return them to the point of sale. The product will then be supported for a
refund. The recall procedure runs until Tuesday February 24, 2026even if the good reflex remains to never consume a sachet identified as recalled.
Intermarché, previous recalls on Pasture slicers and deadline
The sachets concerned were marketed from February 4 to 10, 2026 in stores Intermarché from France. Only batch L26012002 in the 340 g format is affected by this alert. Other batches or weights of Pâturages cheddar slices are not mentioned in this specific recall.
A precedent had already affected this range: on January 24, 2025, a sachet of “Les Tranchettes Hamburger au cheddar Pâturages” 200 g, GTIN 3250391799961, lot L240904, DLC 01/06/2025, sold between October 18, 2024 and January 22, 2025, was the subject of a recall for the same problem with plastic wires, with the same manufacturer Inalpi and the same distributor Intermarché. Enough to encourage consumers to keep an eye on recall information before preparing their homemade burgers.
this recall follows another on a product close to the
