After spending the hidden winter, the French body takes advantage of the return of sunny days to reveal itself again. But as the results of the survey conducted by the Flash Institute show on behalf of the Poderm Laboratory, a specific part seems to complex the French. Here is which one.
1 in 3 French has already given up an activity … so as not to show his feet
If some love their feet and even consider them as an asset of seduction (or a potential source of income), others perceive them as generators of discomfort, complexes, even social avoidance, according to the flash survey carried out with 2,000 people.
Thus, whatever their shape, almost one in five French people does not like its feet. An amplified complex on the side of the fairer sex: 26 % of women do not like their feet, against only 9 % of men.
Regarding the main motifs of discomfort, they prove to be plural: the French and the French are complexed by the appearance of their nails (36 %), the shape of their feet (30 %), their horns (28 %), the size of these (19 %) and the smell of their penons (13 %).

What is a “beautiful foot”? The French have decided
Relegated to the shadow of our shoes most of the time, the feet are not without beauty. They can even be considered as a real seduction asset, provided they meet certain criteria.
- 33 % of French people thus consider that a beautiful foot is defined in the first place by the absence of dermatological problems, type yeast infection and other warts;
- Then come, for 28 %, purely aesthetic considerations, namely a fine, well proportioned foot;
- 18 % prefer feet when they are natural and free from special care;
- Less numerous – 12 % – are those who, on the contrary, consider beautiful manicured and varnish feet.
When they meet these conditions, the feet turn into a real object of desire.

Men are also slightly more sensitive than women: 44 % see it as an element that can play in seduction, against 37 % of the female side. On the other hand, 48 % of respondents are categorical by saying that this is not at all the case concerning them“, concludes the study.
