Legs, roast, blanquette... several turkey preparations recalled at Intermarché and Netto
Several turkey products are currently being pulled from shelves due to labeling issues and incorrect use-by dates. Find out which products are affected and what measures to take.

Batches of turkey marketed by different distributors are the subject of simultaneous alerts from the official Rappel Conso website. Several references – roast, thighs, blanquettes or osso-bucco – are concerned. Their recalls concern labeling anomalies, incorrect DLCs, or microbiological risks. Here are the elements gathered for each case.

Why these reminders?

These recalls are mainly motivated by lack of labeling : the products did not display the correct use-by date (DLC) or the labeling was incomplete. This prevents the consumer from judging the freshness or expiration date, which constitutes a breach of regulations.

Risks for the consumer

Even if, in these cases, the official reason does not indicate microbiological or chemical contamination, the absence or error of DLC can pose a real health safety risk. A product thought to still be edible could actually be expired — promoting bacterial growth or product deterioration, which can lead to food poisoning or infections.

What should you do if you have one of these products?

  • Do not consume especially not recalled batches;
  • Return the product to your sales store to obtain a refund ;
  • Keep the package/label for easy identification of the lot;
  • If in doubt or if you have symptoms after consumption, consult a health professional, especially if you are vulnerable (elderly, immunocompromised, pregnant woman, child).
