How Do I Use Losec?

The capsule should be swallowed whole with half a glass of water. Chewing or crushing the capsule is not advised. Losec comes in gastro-resistant tablets which would ensure that the medicine will not be broken down by the acid in the stomach. Thus, The tablets should not be damaged.
If you or a child will have difficulty in swallowing the capsule, you may open the capsule and swallow the contents directly with half a glass of water. You may also put the contents into a glass of still water, or with some fruit juice such as orange juice, or apple juice. Mix them before drinking then rinse the glass with a half a glass of water and drink it as well.
If you forget to take your dose as scheduled in the morning, you may take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, just skip the missed dose and proceed with the next dose.
