What are the risks to health?
The consumption of this contaminated product exposes to the presence ofEscherichia coli shiga toxinogen (STEC)more specifically the strain O.111: H8. This bacteria can cause, in the week following ingestion: diarrhea (sometimes bloody), strong abdominal pain, vomiting and fever. In children, in particular, 5 to 8 % of cases can evolve towards serious complications, especially renal.
