At the Palais Royal, hairdresser Adrien Coelho sees the same requests repeated: hair that retains substance, moves on its own and never looks too “styled”. According to him, five cuts are making a comeback among Parisiennes this fall, from the mid-length version to the short cut, all designed to remain pretty even several weeks after going to the salon.

For the hairdresser at the Très Confidential salon, everything comes down to personalization, especially around the face. “This cut works on so many faces, but bangs should always be personalized. Its width, its weight, its length, its starting point completely change the perception of the lines. You must also observe the ears and the natural movement of the hair. For me, a good fringe should accompany the person, not impose a way of doing their hair.”explains Adrien Coelho.
Textured hair is not excluded. “On wavy or curly hair, it can be very beautiful too. You just have to anticipate how it will be placed once dry.”, reassures Adrien Coelho. Finger drying, a few passes with a Mason Pearson brush and, like Céline Dion described by Marie Claire, soft lengths are enough.
A precise maintenance schedule
For the mid-length with fringe, Adrien Coelho summarizes: “It takes place in two stages: the cut is refreshed approximately every three months, but the fringe requires a pass every four to six weeks. It is a very short appointment, and it is he who keeps the cut in place.”
The other cuts take between 6 and 8 weeks of refreshing.
