Space out your shampoos and say goodbye to greasy hair: 5 actions to adopt today!
Tired of finding your hair greasy the next day? Rather than multiplying shampoos, opt for a tailor-made routine: adapted frequency, post-sport co-wash and smart gestures to space out washes and breathe new life into your scalp.

Do you feel like your hair is getting greasy the day after washing? The most common reflex is to wash them even more often. However, this habit could maintain the problem instead of solving it. However, the ideal frequency does not come down to an identical number for everyone. Before adding more shampoos, there are some simple steps you can take to review your routine.

Why frequent washing can speed up relubrication

Washing your hair every day is therefore not necessarily useful. The scalp is regularly cleared of sebum, pollution and product residue. In response, the sebaceous glands may be put under greater strain. The roots then appear oily more quickly, which prompts you to start washing again.

It is recommended not to exceed one to two washes per week in most cases.

This indication must be adapted to each hair. In the city, pollution can make the scalp feel dirty more quickly. At the sea or in the mountains, this impression may be different. If you find yourself needing to wash your hair very often, your routine may be worth re-evaluating.

After sports, there is no need to systematically re-wash

Sweating often makes you want to immediately jump into the shower with shampoo. However, sweating does not necessarily mean that your hair is dirty. Washing after each session is therefore not essential, even in the case of daily sport. This reflex can simply increase attacks and disrupt the usual balance of the scalp.

Rinsing them quickly with water may seem like a gentle solution. But hard water risks dehydrating the hair fiber.

After sports or a day at the beach, it is better to use a cowash from time to time. This product gently cleanses the hair while caring for it, without requiring a classic shampoo each time.

Actions to adopt to space out shampoos

Before washing, start by brushing your hair thoroughly. This pre-washing action helps remove some of the impurities and residue.

Then choose a gentle shampoo, without sulfates or silicones, with a neutral pH and a formula adapted to the needs of the scalp.

Pour the product into the palm of your hand, never directly onto your head. Massage the areas that sweat the most, then move up towards the top of the head.

Two successive shampoos can be made: the first eliminates sebum, pollution and styling products; the second completes the cleaning and provides an action adapted to the fiber, such as hydration or color protection.

Rinse thoroughly until the hair squeaks slightly under the fingers.
