One in two French people considers a “CHILL LOVER“”
To better understand the way in which the French apprehend love, experts from the Passage du Desire brand have recruited nearly 8,000 people. All had to answer a series of questions about the duration of their relationship, their way of cohabit and their daily operation.
Conclusion ? At the end of this investigation, five couples profiles were distinguished:
- The glued-glued, inseparable, in their bubble for two;
- The social lovers, fused but very surrounded;
- Dream Team, on the same wavelength in all circumstances;
- The roommates, each his life, but together everyday life works;
- Lovers chill, balance, letting go and zero drama.
Standing fact: almost one in two respondents (48 %) describes himself as a “CHILL LOVER“, All generations combined. This search for peaceful love, without pressure, reflects a true contemporary state of mind.
Live together … or not
Another interesting observation revealed by the study: 60 % of the participants live under the same roof, a cute that naturally increases with age.
“Only 48 % of 18-24 year olds live together, compared to 75 % of the over 55s”, Note the experts.
The “roommates” couples – in other words, those who cultivate their independence within the couple – live on average the longest relationships: around 10 years, and are mainly aged 35 to 55 years. Conversely, only 2 % of 18-24 year olds recognize themselves in this model.
Finally, “chill” couples cohabited less than the average (48 % live together), probably because they are younger unless this voluntary distance participates in their balance. The results therefore reveal a strong correlation between age and the way of living the couple.
“This survey confirms (…) that the couple live in multiple ways, with as many forms as desires, sometimes fused, often” chill “, but always in search of balance”, concludes the press release from the study.
