Listening to music by car makes driving more serene, according to a study published by the Association Prévention Routière and the insurer Wakam. French song, pop and rock come to the top of the styles that relax most on the road.

It has been a long time since motorists have taken the habit of listening to music while driving. They are now 42%to do it systematically and 38%regularly. Music essentially improves the driver’s emotional and mood (88%), to manage stress and anxiety (66%) but also to improve its concentration and control (36%). Describe as stressed, distracted or inclined to drive quickly, especially to stay concentrated and adopt a behavior, ultimately quieter while driving.

The French variety, however, comes at the top of their favorite musical styles (61%), followed by pop (37%).
