Breathe love, literally? A Joyclub.fr survey conducted with 2,777 members shows that desire is not just a matter of gaze or touch … but also nose. For 86.9% of respondents, the body smell plays a major role in attraction. And side scents, the trend is clear: 72.2% prefer a subtle alliance between perfume and natural smell, when only 28.8% like stronger fragrances.
What the nose already knows
Ah, the smell of her or her partner … For around 70% of the members, she makes her head turned out, not only figuratively. Even after a busy day (and a few drops of sweat), 20.8% continue to find it attractive.
What if attraction did not stop at perfumes? The survey reveals that 23.2% of women appreciate the smell of their own vaginal secretions, while 17.2% of men do not sulk that of their sperm. On the partner side, 40.5% of men like the smell of female secretions, and 11.5% of women find that of pleasant ejaculation. Love therefore has its scent… and not only those of overpriced perfumes.
For Joyclub’s sexologist, Judith Langer, not surprising that these smells have so much power: “Odors strongly influence our pleasure, positive or negative. Knowing your own natural natural smell is essential: it is not necessary to love it, but to understand it“.
And when the bodies mingle, the noses remember: almost 80% of respondents find the post-Coistre very pleasant smell. Like a scent of victory… olfactory.
Desire, a matter of smells and chemistry
For the sexologist Gianpaolo Furgiuele, the explanation is scientific: “Body smell plays an important role in sexual desire. It can arouse attraction by natural chemical signals which unconsciously influence the excitement and compatibility between partners. Many people even describe that the smell of the other is as decisive as its appearance“.
But beware, the olfactory charm has its setback: “Please note that the opposite is also true because a perceived odor as unpleasant can slow down desire, cause rejection, even become a real sexual blocking. Some smells, reputed to be “bad”, can lastingly impact sexuality“warns the sexologist.
So yes, you have to take care of its smell … But let’s face it, your partner often loves your natural perfume, even after a long day.
