Personalized water bottles distributed throughout France are subject to a health recall. According to the official platform
ReminderConsoa national recall targets aluminum water bottles due to exceeding safety thresholds in bisphenol A. The substance, classified as an endocrine disruptor, is found in the interior coating, in direct contact with water or drinks.
The brand concerned is CNCL. The recalled water bottles exist in five colors yellow, green, white, pink and sky blue, with plastic screw cap, carabiner and surface customizable with a first name or a logo. According to the sheet published on May 22, 2026, all lots sold from October 24, 2024 to May 21, 2026 are covered, via souvenir stores and associations.
Are you affected by the recall of CNCL personalized water bottles?
To find out if you have one of these bottles at home, first look at the material and shape. These are lightweight aluminum bottles, with screw cap and carabiner, whose smooth surface is designed for a photo, a logo or a first name. The references carry type codes DTF22 or GD1, but the RappelConso sheet indicates that all CNCL batches are recalled. The list of points of sale is available online.

These personalized water bottles were offered in souvenir stores, but also by sports clubs, schools or associations during events. A family can therefore own several without having purchased them directly. If the color, personalization and carabiner match, it is better to consider that the bottle is affected and check with the organizer who provided it.

Bisphenol A and personalized CNCL water bottles: why this recall is worrying
The official reason for this CNCL recall is the presence of bisphenol A in the interior coating, with the safety thresholds for food contact being exceeded. Bisphenol A belongs to the family of endocrine disruptors, substances that can interfere with hormones. According to the specialized site Guide Rue des Goodies, its use has been prohibited in food containers in France since 2015.
Several studies suggest potential effects on fertility, fetal and child development, or on certain hormone-related cancers. The risk is considered particularly sensitive for young children, who very often drink from the same container. The CNCL water bottle affair echoes other recent recalls of children’s water bottles in France.
What to do with a recalled CNCL water bottle and how to choose the next one
RappelConso asks that you no longer use these CNCL water bottles and return them to the point of sale or the association that distributed them, or failing that, destroy them. A refund is planned, and the recall procedure runs until September 21, 2026. For any questions, the manufacturer provides the number 05 62 96 62 70 in order to inform consumers.
To replace these personalized water bottles, several specialists, such as Santé Magazine or eco-responsible water bottle sites, recommend stainless steel models without interior coating, bearing the food contact label and without BPA or BPS. Associations and companies that order goodies can also request certificates of conformity, so that the next gift offered to children or members remains safe over time.
