12,000 readers have decided: here are the star beauty products of 2026 to have at home!
Nearly 12,000 readers of Cosmopolitan voted for their favorite products in 2026, from facial care to signature perfumes. Which cult classics, viral gems and low prices have made their mark on this unique list?

Looking for the best beauty product? Nearly 12,000 people took part in a questionnaire on their favorites for a major magazine. Makeup, skincare, hair, perfume, nails… all categories have been scrutinized. A way to spot the products that really appeal, beyond TikTok trends and the launches that follow one another.

This list is the Cosmopolitan Readers’ Choice Beauty Awards 2026, orchestrated by journalist Kara McGrath for Cosmopolitan. Divided into 151 categories and 755 nominees, they capture what beauty fans really use every day. And one thing is obvious: your favorites combine cult products, viral novelties and very affordable options.

How the 2026 Cosmo Beauty Awards were decided

According to Cosmopolitan, the beauty team first shortlisted five products per category between January and March 2026. Then opened online voting for six weeks, from April to June. Readers then elected a winner in each category. Then the editorial team analyzed community comments in July and August to finalize the 151 winners revealed in September 2026.

Some products have dominated for years. CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser is crowned best cleanser for the fifth time in a row; a reader confides in Cosmopolitan: “It always gives results”. Same loyalty for the CCE Ferulic vitamin serum from SkinCeuticals, at around $185 (nearly €170), described by another as “the absolute reference”.

The trends that the best beauty products of 2026 highlight

  • Side skin carethe votes show an obsession with the skin barrier, peptides,
    K‑beauty
and facial sunglasses like Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 50.
  • The La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 repair balm is described by a Cosmopolitan reader as “the best”. Another states: “It never fails to soothe and repair my skin.”
  • Byoma Hydrating Recovery Oil is loved because the brand offers “affordable and effective” skincare.
  • When it comes to makeup, the Maybelline New York Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara remains a favorite. Already viral on TikTok and highlighted in a selection of low prices on Billie.ca, it is one of the big winners chosen by Cosmo readers for its length effect without bundles.
  • For hair, treatments like the K18 Leave‑In Molecular Repair mask or the Color Wow Dream Coat smoothing spray dominate. A reader assures: “It truly works better than any hair product I’ve ever tried.
    Never”.

A list where luxury and low prices truly coexist

What is striking is how accessible many of the winners remain. Between The Ordinary Multi‑Peptide + HA Serum, Garnier SkinActive Micellar Water makeup remover or Dove Original Beauty Bar soap, many “holy grails” can be found in supermarkets.

At the other end of the spectrum, perfumes like YSL Beauty Libre Eau de Parfum or OPI Bubble Bath polish. Signatures that we buy back year after year.
