Apply a thin layer of gel to the affected area, ideally before going to bed.

Are there any side effects from using Differin?
Many people do not experience side effects while using this medication however uncommon side effects include skin irritation and burning. If you experience this, stop using the medication and contact your GP. In the very unlikely event you may be allergic to the medication and experience the following symptoms:
– Swelling of the tongue, mouth, lips, throat or face
– Wheezing or difficulty breathing
– Tight chest
– Rash on the skin that is blistered or peeling
In any of these cases it is important to call 999 or go straight to A&E immediately.
