This morning, Sébastien Lecornu presented his resignation to the President of the Republic. A surprise for some … but obvious for others. Indeed, after the rapid succession of Prime Ministers (Élisabeth Borne, Gabriel Attal, François Bayrou…) Sébastien Lecornu finally appears as yet another pawn on the political spectrum. However, he distinguished himself from his comrades by the brevity of his mandate: he was only in office in three short weeks. Extreme political instability, that it can be difficult to (di) manage, according to two experts.
A particularly ephemeral Prime Minister
When he was elected, everyone – or almost – believed in it.
Man in the field (Sébastien Lecornu was a reserve colonel in the national gendarmerie), this only son of an aeronautical technician and a medical secretary had quickly expressed his ambitions for the French. The opening of a large health network, made up of 5,000 “France Health” houses, appeared in particular as one of its flagship measures. But these beautiful promises will not have time to see the light of day, since Sébastien Lecornu resigned to the president this Monday, October 6. A political “vagueness” which risks strongly disrupting the French.
“The loss of benchmarks and control, as well as uncertainty about future political decisions and their impact on daily life, are all aggravating factors of stress and anxiety. Not to mention the increased conflicts and the divisions between the different parties, which generate vagueness”, warns Amélie Boukhobza.
Indeed, this waltz of places and posts have something to question the stability of the markets and personal finances. “”These aspects are direct sources of anxiety, as they affect the basic needs of safety and subsistence ” underlines the psychologist. Result ? “Individuals may fear that their rights and voices will be less respected or protected.”
So many reasons that should push you to take care of your mental health.
How to preserve yourself?
To try to forget this great politics fiasco, psychologist Siyana Milnéva recommends … disconnect. “You have to limit screen or radio time, avoiding looking at information too much” she advises.
Then she recommends learning to master her fears.
“”Knowing how to preserve yourself and limit your anxiety first goes through the fact of saying that one cannot live without difficulties, without problems, whether they take place in the world or closer to yourself, geographically “.
Finally, use (or even abuse) of anti-stress methods can do you good.
“”This can be self-hypnosis, meditationrelaxation to practice on a daily basis, or several times a week“Details Siyana Milnéva.”Or more simply listen to good music, laugh with friends, think of your family cocoon that we will find in the evening or your next outing … So many pleasant moments that make us look up, instead of shooting us “ she concludes.
