Drop in gas prices

Another development that should blow up a fresh air on the invoices: the price of gas decreases. This 1.46% drop is the result of the evolution of the energy markets and a desire displayed to restore a little respite to households.

Ecological bonus and display of the environmental cost of textiles

October 1 also marks a turning point in responsible consumption. On the one hand, the ecological bonus evolves to strengthen assistance for the purchase of clean vehicles with an exceptional bonus of 1000 eruos. On the other hand, a novelty appears in the fashion sector: the optional display of the ecological impact of clothing, from production to recycling.
The press release explains: “As of October 1, the display of the environmental cost of textile products will be gradually deployed in order to better inform consumers and encourage more responsible consumption“.

Maprimerenov ‘: a rekindled device

Aids to the energy renovation of housing, via Maprimerénov ‘, are reactivated and enlarged. The system primarily targets housing considered as thermal colanders and modest households, with a ceiling of 40,000 euros.

More secure bank transfers

As of October 9, 2025, the banks and payment establishments will be obliged to indicate to their customer if the name of the beneficiary of a transfer and the IBAN that they have informed are well consistent with the information of the recipient’s bank account.

Passage at winter time

Finally, like every fall, the winter time makes its return. On the night of Saturday October 25 to Sunday 26 October, the clocks will go back one hour. If the change is now well anchored in habits, it continues to have an impact on the sleep and the pace of life of many French people.
