A baby car seat used every day for trips to daycare or to visit grandparents is the subject of a safety alert in France. Parents who recently purchased a stroller pack could be directly affected without knowing it.
The sheet published on the public RappelConso platform targets Travel System type packs, which combine stroller and car seat from the Bébé Confort brand, sold nationwide since fall 2024. The challenge for families is simple: quickly check if their seat corresponds to the Sunlite, Breeze or Brume models cited in the recall.
Recall of the Bébé Confort baby car seat: what risks for Sunlite Duo, Breeze Trio and Brume Trio?
The manufacturer Dorel France has launched a voluntary recall of the car seat included in certain Sunlite Duo, Breeze Trio and Brume Trio packs. A possible weakness in the connection between the carrying handle and the shell can cause, in certain situations, one side of the handle to detach, with a risk of injury to the child.
Only the car shell integrated into these stroller + seat sets is covered by the procedure; the stroller used alone remains advertised as safe for daily use. The products belong to the “Babies-Children” category and were put on sale in France between October 2024 and March 2026, in a large network of distributors.
How do you know if your Sunlite Duo, Breeze Trio or Brume Trio car seat is affected?
In practice, the first step consists of identifying the commercial name of your stroller pack on the cardboard, the instructions or the frame of the stroller. If you own a Sunlite Duo, Breeze Trio or Brume Trio set, you must then compare the reference, GTIN and batch number of the shell with the official lists below, visible on the packaging and on a label on the car seat.

What to do if your baby car seat is part of the Bébé Confort recall?
If your shell corresponds to one of the GTINs and lots listed, the official instructions are clear: no longer use the car seat, either to transport the child in the car, or to carry the shell by the handle. The stroller can, however, continue to be used on a daily basis without the shell, in classic sitting mode.
The manufacturer offers a repair of the seat concerned, covered as part of this active campaign until the end of June 2026.
