What is this new Tiktok trend?
In some videos taking up the challenge, you can see students deliberately inserting trombones or pencil mines in the USB port of their Chromebook, a computer distributed by schools.
Objective ? Create a short circuit, which will cause overheating of the device, smoke and sometimes flames. A destructive challenge posted on social networks to make the buzz.
A “challenge” that could quickly cross the Atlantic
Spotted in Washington, Pennsylvania or New Jersey state from Lycées, the Chromebook Challenge is already mobilizing American educational teams. Some schools have even launched awareness campaigns with students and families.
