Launched on the occasion of International Families Day, the Family Health Sector (FSF) brings together more than 2,000 certified professionals to help couples and parents in difficulty. An unprecedented initiative to replace emotional and family relationships at the heart of public health.
Preserve links, protect health
Every day in France, families weaken under the weight of tensions, illness or life attacks. Too often, the people concerned do not know who to turn. To respond to this distress, three major French associations have joined forces to create the family health sector (FSF), a structured and interdisciplinary network of qualified professionals – marital advisers, family mediators, sexologists – all certified.
A response to a public health emergency
With more than 53 million French people living with family, relationship difficulties have a direct impact on mental health, precariousness and global well-being. In 2023, intra -family violence jumped by 10 %, and almost one young parent in two envisaged separation in the year following a birth. However, one in two French people still ignore to who turn to family conflict.
The FSF comes to fill this void by making accessible, via a unique platform, accessible solutions validated and supervised. Objective: to avoid therapeutic wandering and fight against non -supervised, even sectarian practices.
Supervised, preventive and soothing support
Based on a rigorous ethical charter, the FSF offers three types of support: support for domestic and parental relations, family mediation in the event of conflict, and support in intimate and sexual health. The results are convincing: 95 % of the beneficiaries report a concrete benefit, and in couple situations, more than three -quarters avoid breaking or live a more serene separation.
As the neuropsychiatrist Boris Cyrulnik, member of the Orientation Committee points out: “To help a child grow well, you must first support their parents“Thanks to this new sector, families can now benefit from a real emotional and relational care path, recognized and accessible.
