Health risk linked to salmonellosis
Salmonellosis is an infection of food origin which generally manifests within hours or days following the consumption of a contaminated product. The first symptoms appear on average between six and seventy-two hours after ingestion and most often result in acute diarrhea, abdominal pain, fever, sometimes accompanied by nausea, vomiting, headache and great fatigue. In most healthy people, the disease heals spontaneously in a few days, but it can lead to serious complications, including severe dehydration or generalized infection, especially in young children, the elderly, pregnant women and immunocompromised people.
The authorities recall that these products should not be consumed or used and must be reported at the point of sale for reimbursement or destroyed. Cooking with a heart greater than 65 ° C destroys the bacteria and prevent the risk of infection, but as a precaution, it is recommended to avoid any consumption. People who have ingested one of the products recalled and with symptoms should consult a doctor by mentioning this exposure. In the absence of symptoms within seven days of consumption, it is not necessary to worry or consult.
