
CONSO REMINDER: Snack Day salt chips Sold in Lidl Due to an excessive acrylamide rate
On June 5, 2025, a Product recall was launched concerning Salted crisps brand Snack daymarketed in supermarkets Lidl through France. These products, packaged in 250 g sachets, have a acrylamide greater than the limit authorized by European regulations. Acrylamide is a chemical classified as probably carcinogenic by the International Center for Research on Cancer (Circ).
The chips concerned were put on sale between March 7 and May 28, 2025. The recall is voluntary in nature, without prefectural decree, and was initiated by the company Aperitivos y extrusianados SA .

It is classified as probably carcinogenic for humans by the International Center for Research on Cancer (CIRC). Prolonged exposure to high levels of acrylamide can increase the risk of developing certain types of cancer.
