What are the health risks?
The reason put forward is suspicion of Salmonella sppthe bacteria responsible for salmonellosis. After ingestion of contaminated food, this infection most often causes acute gastroenteritis: diarrhea, vomiting, abdominal pain, sometimes associated with fever and headache, within 6 to 72 hours.
Young children, pregnant women, elderly people or people weakened by another illness are at increased risk of severe forms. Anyone who has consumed these sausages and presents these symptoms should consult a doctor quickly, noting the brand and product references. If there are no symptoms within seven days, medical follow-up is generally not considered necessary.
What should the consumer do?
