The reason put forward is lack of sealing of the packaging : micro leaks or poorly closed heat seal. When air enters the tray, bacteria can grow faster than expected, even if the product remains refrigerated and appears visually normal.
This type of alteration can lead to food poisoning : abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, fever. Risks are increased for young children, the elderly, pregnant women and immunocompromised people. If you feel unwell after recent consumption of these minced steaks, a quick medical consultation is recommended.
What should the consumer do?
Consumers in possession of trays corresponding to this
recall Auchan SH striped chopped steaks 6x100g must no longer consume them, even if the expiry date is 08/10/2026 or if the meat was frozen after purchase. The product must be set aside until it is returned to the store.
