Zomig Nasal Spray is a prescription medicine prescribed to adults and children 12 or 17 years old and above, for migraine with or without aura. This medication is distinctly for migraines only; it is not used to treat other types of headaches. You can purchase Zomig Nasal Spray from various brands, and it may come in different spray forms. When used properly, this medication helps manage migraines and get rid of nausea, vomiting, headaches, and sensitivity to light and sounds.
How does Zomig Nasal Spray work?
Zomig Nasal Spray’s active ingredient, zolmitriptan, narrows the brain’s blood vessels, which ceases the transmission of pain signals and blocks the secretion of migraine-causing natural substances. How to use Zomig Nasal Spray?

Each unit contains 5 mg of zolmitriptan, which should only be used once as each pre-filled unit will only give one dose. You can use this medication as soon as a migraine headache starts or once you feel an attack is underway.
To use this zolmitriptan nasal spray, remove the protective cover or the grey sealed cap, which protects the nozzle. Put the nozzle inside your nostril; it does not matter which nostril you use. Hold the finger grip to ensure you can hold the spray unit in place during administration.
Before you press the plunger, block one nostril by pressing a finger on the side of your nose; tilt your head at an angle and close your mouth, then, breathe in as you press the plunger.
