Frequently Asked Questions

What is Kwells?

You get travel sickness when mixed signals are sent to your brain. Your visual senses tell your brain that your surroundings are stationary, while your vestibular system tells it otherwise. This conflicting information triggers a response: nausea, which is associated with travel sickness.

Kwells contains hyoscine hydrobromide as its active ingredient, which belongs to the anticholinergics or antimuscarinics drug classification. This drug reduces the symptoms of travel or motion sickness, such as sickness and nausea.

How does Kwells work?

Kwells active ingredient hyoscine hydrobromide reduces the effects of the imbalance felt by the vestibular system, which is located in the ear, to minimise nausea while in motion or travelling. At the same time, it also soothes the wave-like muscle contractions in the stomach, which is also associated with nausea.

Benefits of Kwells Travel Sickness Tablets

Suffering from travel sickness makes you dread getting on planes, cars, trains, buses, or boats. It can bring discomfort while travelling, which makes it go from exciting to uninviting. But with the help of Kwells, you can remove the annoying symptoms of travel sickness, like sickness and nausea. You can enjoy your travels without having to worry about any uncomfortable sensations with Kwells.

How to take Kwells Tablets?

Although Kwells is not a prescription medicine, your doctor may still prescribe it when you go for a consultation before your upcoming travel. If this is the case for you, follow the instructions provided by your doctor.

If you buy Kwells over the counter, you should read the enclosed patient information leaflet carefully to ensure you take the tablets as they should be to get maximum benefits.

You can suck, swallow, or chew the tablet. It also has a scoreline that you can follow to cut the tablet in half if you have trouble swallowing tablets. It is advised to take Kwells at least 30 minutes before your travel to prevent the occurrence of travel sickness or at the onset of nausea to reduce its effects.

Recommended Kwells Dosage

Adults are recommended to take one (1) tablet every six (6) hours or as required. You should not take more than three (3) of this medication within 24 hours.
