Levonorgestrel

Levonorgestrel is an effective form of emergency contraception or ‘morning after pill’. The earlier it is taken after unprotected the sex, the more effective it is. The most common dose is 1.5mg however this may be doubled to 3mg if your weight is over 70kg or if you are taking certain other medications. Levonorgestrel cannot be taken if EllaOne has been taken in the last 5 days.
