Doxycycline

Doxycyline, when taken correctly, is an effective anti-malarial treatment. This medication should be taken 1-2 days before travel to the malarial area and taken for 4 weeks after return. These tablets should be taken with a large glass of water while sitting or standing. Avoiding direct exposure to sunlight or sun lamps is advised.
